Do you want to become one of us?
The Western and Eastern Investigation Units are looking for social workers.

The investigation units are part of the Organizational Labor Market and Social Services Department's Family Division, and their mission is to assess the need for support and protection for vulnerable children, youth, and their families. We at the Western Investigation Unit are now looking for a social worker who handles investigations and assistance according to SoL and LVU concerning children and young people aged 0-18 years. If you join us, we offer you a workplace in central Karlstad in nice, functional premises that contribute to our great job satisfaction. The Western Investigation Unit is a team composed of competent, ambitious, and dedicated social workers.

As a new employee, you will receive a mentor to help you get into the work and daily routines. You will also belong to a team of social workers where there is a great culture of helping each other and good collaboration. The unit also has case supervisors, whose primary task is to guide and support you in your daily work. External supervision is also offered. We have a well-functioning structure in the Family Division, which makes our work a bit easier. All new employees receive introductory training both through the Professional Journey, which includes basic training in BBIC (Children's Needs in Focus), as well as internal training such as child conversation training and Signs of Safety (a solution-focused investigation method). Welcome with your application!

A degree in social work is required. Experience working within social services, particularly with children aged 0-18 years, is an advantage. We value good collaboration skills, decisiveness, flexibility, and the ability to work independently.
